Open innovation · Advanced radar technology
We bring radar sensing to you.
Radar sensing offers a unique combination of properties unavailable in any other sensor technology.
Privacy protection
Radars detect and measure without capturing any identifiable image, making them fully compliant with privacy regulations.
Contactless sensing
No physical contact needed: measurements are taken remotely, enabling safer and more hygienic monitoring solutions.
See-through capability
Radar waves penetrate cardboard, clothing, and non-metallic materials, enabling inspection and detection through barriers.
Sub-mm precision
Measurements accurate to sub-millimeter level, ideal for detecting micro-vibrations, breathing, and structural deflections.
All-weather operation
Immune to darkness, fog, dust, and harsh environmental conditions, radars work where cameras and optical sensors fail.
EMC compliant
Our radar solutions meet electromagnetic compatibility standards, ensuring safe coexistence with other electronic equipment.
Our vision & mission
We believe radar technology is one of the most underutilised sensing technologies in industry today. Our mission is to change that by making radar accessible, practical, and transformative for businesses of every kind.
Deep Radars was born from academic research and industry ambition: a team of electronic and telecommunication engineers from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, committed to spreading radar intelligence across sectors.
We develop custom radar-based solutions that enhance product quality, boost productivity, and improve safety.
The sub-millimeter precision of radars enables contactless measurement of vital signs in humans and animals; no wearables, no contact required. Our technology can detect the presence of an individual in a room and accurately determine their location when needed.
Applications include hospital patient monitoring, elderly care, sleep analysis, and veterinary wellness, all while fully preserving privacy.
Radar-based solutions enable contactless structural health monitoring (SHM) of large buildings and infrastructures. A single device can cover entire structures, providing high accuracy, operational flexibility, and significantly reduced costs compared to traditional methods.
This technology enables true predictive maintenance, detecting issues before they become critical, protecting lives and assets.
Unlike cameras, radars are unaffected by darkness, fog, dust, or extreme temperatures. These properties make radar sensors uniquely valuable for implementing functional safety systems and perception technologies in demanding industrial environments.
Sub-millimeter precision also enables accurate measurement of machinery vibrations from a safe distance, especially critical for high-temperature or hazardous surfaces where contact-based sensors cannot be deployed.
Become the expert. Build the skills to master radar technology yourself.
Our vision is to bring radar technology into every sector. We provide webinars, workshops, and technical courses tailored for professionals, businesses, and students: from radar fundamentals to advanced 3D MIMO FMCW radar processing.
Courses are tailored to your specific needs and developed by leading experts, including a professors from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Deep Radars Srl was founded in 2025 by a group of electronic engineers from the SIGCOMLAB — Telecommunications Laboratory at the "Enzo Ferrari" Department of Engineering, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
Our founding milestone marked the expansion of a research group into a company focused on the development of custom radar devices and their industrialisation. Deep Radars Srl is an external spin-off of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
